Ok, I posted last weekend - my partner and used the "pull and pray" method over the time that I was most likely ovulating (a range of a few days depending if my cycle is 28 days or 30 days).

I've been testing the past few days and have been getting odd results, and I'm wondering (and really sort of hoping, because a pregnancy is not exactly on my list of to-dos this month, considering I'm going through a divorce!) - that I'm dealing with some defective tests here. In retrospect, I probably should have been a little more careful and kept my pants on... :-) but I've been a little bit not myself due to this divorce.

This is the result I got this morning using FMU.

A FMU yesterday also yielded a odd half line in the test area as well, but a lot of variation in color, like this one.

Two tests using probably too dilute pee were glaring negatives this afternoon - I only have a lot of pink showing up with FMU.

AF should show up tomorrow or Monday, and I plan on testing again tomorrow first thing. I'm probably over anxious, but your expert POAS opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

This might ruin the test, but this is something I did when I got faint positives that were also floating in a sea of pink. I put some water on them after they dried. The water washed away all the leftover pink, but left my lines. I've only done it 2-3 times, and it might ruin them. If you don't mind playing with your test, I'd go for it.

edit: the first 2 times left the lines. The 3rd test had it where the bfp washed away. That cycle ended in a chemical.

I'm going to guess that it's probably defective. I'd be interested to hear the results of Spyctre's experiment if you try it!

Ok, so I rinsed the test...and the pink didn't really wash off very well, but the test line does look less defined and more evap-y. That, combined with zero symptoms besides some nasty water retention and frequent urination (I think I may have a UTI, which I get when I even get within 5 feet of a male member) - I'm thinking the test may just be a bum one.

I'll test again in the morning with FMU, but am feeling better about this. I really do want a baby, but not exactly now. :-)

I'll update in the morning...

Well -tested this morning with FMU and just got a very light evap (grey) line several hours later (we all check later, right?). So pretty sure it was a bum test.

Although AF really should be showing up today but no sign whatsoever. I felt super crampy and AFish on Thursday and now I'm not at all. My body is so wierd!!

Sorry about the BFN. Just remember you're not out until AF shows!
