April 3rd was the beginning of my cycle. I tried temping as I did with my daughter but I don't get 3 hours of uninterrupted sleep so I gave up!!!
So now it is day 25, poas this morning bfn. My breasts are tingly almost, and for most of the morning I had low dull achy cramps.
Either I am pg and too early to test (hope!!!) or af is coming. I have been on bc for so many years that I have no idea which it is. In all of your experiences, how many days in advance of af is there usually cramping?
I don't want to test again tomorrow I get so disappointed, I thought for sure I would see bfp today with my crazy tingly breasts! Is that a normal symptom of af??

I only had cramping (like stretching or digging) in my back for a few minutes about 6dpo & again 7dpo..I didn't get af type cramps until 5 to 6 weeks. Breast changes are different for each woman and can mean different things but I use to get the tingly feeling before af & when I was pregnant I just noticed they were HEAVY & bigger no tingly. Good Luck to you!

I had another thought. Could I have ovulated really late (day 25) coming off of bc? Maybe my cramps were ovulation in which case I am really out for this month, with the cold that I have had my husband hasn't come near me this week!!
Has anyone had the experience of ovulating that late?

Shoot. The more I think about it I think Friday may have been ovulation that I felt!! I haven't had real cramps since then. My breasts feel a bit heavy but not tingly any more.
And that means 2 weeks until period and then a new cycle!! There is no chance that I would be pg from ovulating on Friday with the wicked cold I had all week no bd for me for the whole week!! Argh!
Waiting, waiting....

I O'd on or around the 10 of april. 7 days later on the 17th I had to huge twinges on my right side and started to get mild cramps/aches & pains. My lower back started hurting too around the base of my spine to the point that I went to the ER worried I had some how strained my back which is how I found out i was pregnant. Best of luck to you! keeping my fingers crossed!

Did the pains stick around? My only symptom now are heavy breasts, not even sore or tingly...just feeling full you know? I am sure that could be just my body adjusting to the change in hormones. But thanks for the post, I have been following yours and I know about your surprise, couldn't be happier for you!
With this board even if I don't get the bfp I am so excited to see each one that appears!

Thanks! The pains from implanting kinda happened and then went away then cramping like i was going to get my period soon started.

other symptoms I had were sore nippples and my breasts would pinch every once in a while. they certainly do feel heavier! and my lower back aches if i put a little strain on it. nothing too bad though. i had ONE morning of actual blatant morning sickness that i thought was bad turkey at first but none since then. and i was more cranky than usual. but that's about it!

I don't know...I hope I felt implantation but only time will tell. I guess if I o'd the previous weekend, it is still possible. I was coming down with such a bad cold that I can't even say if I felt anything out of the ordinary as far as my stomach goes. This weekend (after the Friday cramps) really didn't have any symptoms.
If it was implantation, I will see on a test in another week or so. If it was ovulation, I guess I will see af in a couple of weeks.
Yay. More waiting.

You can track ovulation without temperatures. Here's how:

I tried following my cm too and I thought originally that I had ovulated around day 11 - 13 based on that. Sigh. I just have to wait...but thanks!

So... I have had cramps on and off most of the day, no sign of af. My lower back is starting to hurt. I don't want to get my hopes up but maybe Friday cramps were implantation?
Premenstrual cramps - does anyone ever experience them coming and going? I had on Friday morning and now Monday all day, nothing on the weekend. I keep expecting to go to the bathroom and see af.
I don't want to test, hate seeing the bfn. Any thoughts ladies?

When you say "lower back" do you mean almost like the base of your spine a little bit above your (pardon my wording) crack? As far as premenstrual cramps, whenever I start AF and the cramps start I spot/bleed within the next 24 hours. My back hurts but in a more achey way and the cramps are stronger/achier too. With the "pregnant" cramps I've been getting they are mild and are just kinda irritating because they don't stop for a while but they don't get worse. I'm really keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you! Take the test! It is better to know so you don't worry over it. And if it IS indeed a BFP then you will have more time to celebrate it!

You can uncross everything I'm out, started af, but light. It's OK, now I am day 1 next month is mine maybe. I will live vicariously through you and all the other new bfp's while I wait out the next cycle.
At least this gives me a baseline, looks like I must have ovulated day 15 since this cycle was 29 days.
Do the dollar stores also sell cheap OPK's? That would probably alleviate my anxiety. I am really just worried that I am not going to ovulate at age 38 after bc for so long. Probably just in my head since I did get pregnant easily with my 2 kids but that was when I was 30 and 32. And I mentioned that I can't temp because I honestly don't get a proper night sleep, I always have an ear listening for something.

Do you track your cervical mucous? If not, You should start. Your cervical mucous can tell you when ovulation is approaching. Also use a ovulation kit. I didn't use one with my son, but used it with my second child, and I concieved much faster second time around. And I just got the dollar store ones

You don't have to temp to chart. Just track CM!

I did the just track cm & count days to avoid pregnancy & got pregnant anyway. I o'd cd 21 with no fertile signs. I had fertile cm around Thanksgiving cd 14 or so & cramps then it dried up I was SURE I o'd already and we were safe to dtd. Turns out it's possible to gear up to ovulate and then ovulate later so be careful tracking cm it isn't always correct.

I am going to hit the dollar store for OPK's I can't believe how expensive they are at the pharmacy! Would Walmart carry them too? What is the recommendation from you ladies experienced with OPK's?
I was tracking my cervical mucous and according to that, I O'd on CD 11 - 13 and then it dried up, but according to when af arrived (very light, but I don't know what it should be) I O'd on CD 15 so I would feel more in control if I used OPK to confirm it.
Thanks for all the great ideas. So where to buy the OPK's and I am off!

Well, it really is best to learn to do it properly from a certified instructor - so you can tell the difference between the CM pattern that happens when your body gears up to ovulate and the CM pattern that happens when ovulation truly occurs. There's a bit more to it than just keeping track and counting days.
