My husband and I have been trying to conceive. My obgyn, however, wanted to come in for a progesterone level blood test a week after i ovulated.
So I got a positive ovulation test, did the deed (3 days before the positive and every other day after that), called the office to make an appointment, and got one for 10 days later....at 330 in the afternoon. I know it is early, but i have so many symptoms of pregnancy....headaches, cramping, spotting, sore nipples, fatigue. But today my doctor called telling me my progesterone level is really low. It is too early to take a test. Is there a chance that because blood was drawn in the afternoon, after I ate, that the results could be misleading? Is there a chance I could be pregnant?
I am concerned because if I am, I have read that low progesterone can cause miscarriages. But my doctor told me to call her back after the next time i get a positive opk. I am worried about waiting that long.
