hi all, my first post
husband and i are ttc...... my period is about a week late which has never happened before and i feel how i did when i was pregnant with my daughter. but iv done two tests one the day after i missed my period and another this morning both negative... but we havnt been trying for very long and i didnt expect to get pregnant to quick anyway. im not stressed, only 25, not overweight, what else can it be?? iv had mild crampy pains for about 2 weeks now and every day convinced myself it was my period! still nothing.... what should i do now?? just wait?? any advice for a newbie?? lol xx

I had the same thing happen to me. I tested and i got 2 negatives. I used first response after i was 4 weeks late and finally got a positive. I hope you will get a positive too! Try not to stress hopefully it will go the way you want!!!!

thanks for the reply..... o i hope so!! with my daughter i had no idea i was pregnant untill 8 weeks i just thought i was a bit ill as i was so tired.. only time will tell x

Its very possible that you O'd later than usual. Everyone is entitled to a wonky cycle every once in a while. Do you temp or chart? That would tell you more specifically how many dpo you are. Could be you just had a late implanter and so its going to take longer to show up on a pee stick. GL and KUP!!

My friend didn't get a positive until 4 days late, and she was testing every morning. I agree it could be a late O. I hope you get the + you are looking for.

Hi and welcome! I agree with the other ladies...it sounds like you ovulated late this cycle. Even the most regular ladies can have an off cycle now and then so it's nothing to worry about. That being said, if you were having unprotected sex throughout your cycle, then it is still completely possible that you conceived...it may just be too early to tell.

awww thanks for the advice and comments everyone.... well i looked through my diary and worked my dates out wrong.... silllyyyy me!!! im only 5 days late.... so maybe i tested a bit to early! iv decided to wait until sat and test again.if no sign of period by monday i will go to docs and see if they will do the blood test. im a student midwife but its still nice to chat to other people and not look in my books lol xxx

Omg I'm having problems with waiting to test too. LOL All I wanna do is buy more tests and taking them. I just know I'll still get a neg. I really think I'm pregnant, I just think that I'm testing too early. Sunday or Monday will be the best time for me to test, I think.

im now 7 days late.... no sign and also a BFN when i tested last night. so i have a docs appointment tomorrow.. i no people say this can happen but its just strange for me that AFs late never mind this late.... plus the last time iv felt this tired was when i was pregnant.... if im not pregnant i will obviously be disappointed but at least i will know that i can try again nxt month then.... lol xx

sorry to ask im a newbie n not sure what DOP means?? is it date of ovulation..?? lol i need to get with the lingo! can i make that 3 tests neg now! lets see what dr says tomorrow he will prob make me wait another while!! x

I think you mean DPO = days past ovulation. There's a sticky note "Am I Pregnant FAQ and TTC Abbreviations" which is nice to check if there's some abbreviation you don't get right away

Just out of the docs.... Another negative test. He said it can still be to early to detect in a urine sample however getting bloods on Tue to get my thyroid checked too as family members have it. Doc said I mightbe preg as iv the symptoms and to make sur i was taking folic acid which i am. If not preg most likely i missed a period. Time will tell xx
