Hello All (sorry it's long)
I have had 6 home pregnancy test that have all come positive, but i haven't yet had a missed period. My periods are regular on a 28 day cycle. I had a period on April 13th for my usual 5 days. Then in May it was alot lighter and only lasted 4 days. Me and my partner had intercourse on the 25th May so i'm guessing this is the day we concieved. I did the first HPT on the 30th May. I just wasn't feeling myself. I had tender breasts, nausea and the odd stomach cramp. So i got a positive from my test and did another one the following morning and again got a positive.
Over the next few days i did some more tests and got positives everytime. I finally got a doctors appointment on the 7th June, but an hour before my appointment i started spotting. I told my doctor and she advised me that if it got heavier to let her know. It got heavier so she arranged for me to see the early pregnancy unit on the 11th. I realized over the weekend that i was actually due on my period on the 8th. So this bleeding felt nothing more than my period.
I went to the early pregnancy unit and they couldn't see anything at all on the ultrasound or the transvaginal scan. They said it's either too early or i have miscarried or it's ectopic. My pregnancy symptoms have gone. They took my blood and it was only 30 then went to 33 then down to 27. I am going back tomorrow (21st June) for more blood to be taken.
I have had no abdominal cramps or pains. My period lasted for it's usual 5 days. Surely i'd know if i'd miscarried or it was ectopic. Please help i just want to know what the hell is going on!!!
If you got pregnant on or around the 25th it sounds like a miscarriage. Your levels wouldn't drop and this far along would be way higher then 30 by this point. With an eptopic you would think you would be able to see it on u/s by now. I hope you get some answers soon (hugs)
thanks for the response. Having never had a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy before, i thought i'd experience some bad cramping or bleeding clots. I do make matters worse by reading too much online of other peoples experiences and symptoms. So that's why i dont think i've had either. I dont mind if i have, me and my partner had only told our parents and it would have not developed into anything yet but it's just the not knowing that is really annoiying. We do have a beautiful 18 month old girl and we are trying for #2.
I hope that you get some answers soon so that you can enjoy your pregnancy or keep ttc.
I have only had 1 miscarriage and it wasn't really one. So I'm not sure of the symptoms. I had to have a D&C at 13 weeks along because my body wouldn't do what it was supposed to.
My sister had an ectopic and the pain was so bad she was rushed to the er. She let it go for awhile since it was her first and thought it may be normal. Keep us posted when you find out anything.
I miscarried when I was 5 weeks and two days along. I didn't see my hcg go over 48. I basically cramped for 10 minutes, went to the bathroom and I started bleeding. Had one clot that was maybe a bit bigger than a toonie. And then I just bled more like a regular period. It actually was a bit lighter than normal and I spotted longer afterwords. So really, if I hadn't known I was pregnant I don't think I would have wondered if I had miscarried. It just was too normal.
Hello im sorry t say this but it sounds like a miscarriage i had ne a few years ago and i had 2 home posative tests and i went to the doctors and it was negative when they did one. I did have 2 periods which were 2 days long and very light and cramping but remember that everyone is different and again im sorry if this is the case but we are all here for you.
