Just from my recent experiece using the dollar store pregnancy test ladies.....
It says to read the result after 3 minutes then toss.
Well my results NEVER show up til 10 minutes at least.
This was 1st test I took at 11 dpo, took over ten minutes to be able to see a hint of a line...
Even this result this morning.....not til 10 minutes after did it get dark. I started to worry a bit.
I will NEVER use these tests again.
Just wanted to share with you ladies. Baby dust to all!!!!

I had good results with dollar store tests in the past but with my previous pregnancies I too found that they never really got truly dark and it took way past the time limit for them to show. The Walmart brand test, I think they're called first signal, which are only $.88, are wonderful and far surpassed the quality of dollar store.

stalking and wanted to add my experience. I took a dollar tree test at night and didn't even get a faint line, the next morning took a walmart brand test and got a dark BFP. It took a few days from my dark BFP's on others to get a semi dark line on dollar store test. Don't give up if the dollar store ones arent dark!

inlove08 - thank you for posting this!
AF isn't due until 8/14, but I took a test 2 days ago with my a Dollar Store test (first time I tried one of the cheap ones)...BFN and I wasn't suprised, i would've been about 8 DPO... I took a test this morning, another Dollar Store test, and waited the 3 minutes. Nothing was showing, and DH was knocking on the door asking if I was ok, so I threw it out. About 20 minutes later, I searched the JM boards for "dollar store pregnancy test", and your post came up in the search results. Upon reading it, I went back to the bathroom, took the test out of the trash and low and behold a faint line had appeared! Eeek! I pulled the test out from 2 days ago, and no line had appeared there, so I was hopeful that what I was seeing on today's test wasn't an evap line. I had 2 First Response tests left over from last month and around noon I decided to try one. I peed, I dipped, I covered it, and I walked away for exactly 3 minutes. Came back, uncovered it, and OMG....there's a very clear pink second line!!! WHAT?!?! I can hardly believe it!! I keep going back into the bathroom to look at the tests and sure enough the lines aren't disappearing!

I took 3 dollar store tests the day before I got my BFP with a clearblue easy digital and 2 of them were totally blank except the control line and the other one had a VERY faint line.
Congrats MellowYellow

I had this with my first! I took the cheapie test in the morning, BFN.. went into the sitting room to tell my mum and get some comfort, didn't feel quite right, went to the toilet 5 minutes later because i felt nauseous and low and behold, sat on the bathroom counter as my sticky made me vomit, a BFP!

I used dollar tree tests when I got my positive in June. Every single time, the positive showed up within a minute!! These definately do work!
