I'm not so sure if I'm pregnant or not. Let me give you some background information on me so you can help me figure out if I need to take a test or not. When I was 20, I had become pregnant. I had all the "normal" (late period, morning sickness, tender breast, ect.) signs, and it was a huge shock. I went to the doctor, and found out I was 8 weeks along. So I did all the things I thought was right. I quit drinking so many sodas, I started drinking more juice and water, I kept track of anything and everything I ate, I started taking prenatal vitamins, but unfortunately, I lost the baby. Moving forward to today. I'm now 23. I was on birth control for two months before I had to stop taking my it due to the advice of my doctor because I was on antibiotics for a severe UTI. I had been off the antibiotics for about a month now, and just forgot to call my doctor for my prescription for birth control. I had sex on the 9th of this month, and the next day, I had a very light, and I mean very light, I guess you could call it spotting. But only for that day. I have an app on my phone that helps me keep track of around the time I'm suppose to start my period. I was suppose to sart the 21st, and here it is the 23rd, and still nothing. I'm not having any of the "normal" symptoms I had with my first pregnancy. What I'm experiencing now is, headaches, frequent trips to the bathroom, and my period is late. I don't want to get my hopes up, so I was hoping someone could give me some insight before I take a test and make an appointment with my doctor. Thank you!
You could be pregnant; the only way to know for sure is to test. If you buy a test, try to buy the kind with pink dye, or purchase a digital test.
Another likely possibility is that going on/off the birth control pills has messed with your body. It can take your body time after coming off BCP to regulate itself, and in the meantime you can have spotting, strange symptoms, and periods that don't fall within your normal cycle.
Good luck; I hope things work out the way you hope!
