I stopped my birth control halfway through the pack and me and my fiancé had sex three days after that, and I started bleeding the day after but it only lasted three days and then t stopped, then we had sex the day that it stopped and that was two days ago, is there any possibility that I could be pregnant because we are trying to get pregnant before he leaves for the marines!! Thank you and please help!!
I did the same thing back in September and the same thing happened to me. The bleeding you experienced was not your period but withdrawal bleeding. It's definitely possible to get pregnant right when you stop taking birth control or miss a pill, but I don't think it's the norm. For me it took a couple months for my cycle to get back to normal. I just got pregnant! You need to wait and see if you get your *real* period. Until then, keep trying.
I was just askin this cuz of the time period between me stopping the birth control and having sex then havin sex about six days later.....I just want to kno if there is any possibility that im am pregnant.?
When you stop taking birthcontrol, you can ovulate spontaneously (rather than needing to wait like you would with a typical, non-birthcontrol cycle).
It doesn't happen all the time, but it is possible. Unfortunately there is no way to know at this point if you did infact ovulate.
Is your husband still home? I would DTD every single day. Since you can't be sure of where you are in your cycle right now, it'll be hard to determine when you're ovulating (unless you start taking OPK's).
For some women, they don't ovulate until a few cycles after they stop taking birthcontrol.
Good luck, I hope you conceive before he has to leave! How long before he goes?
I agree with everything Urchin has said - I think it can be pretty difficult to get pregnant the first round off of birth control but it is not impossible! I will keep my fingers crossed for you but like Urchin said I recommend that you DTD at once a day for every day you see DH to increase your chances.
i stopped my pills on the 21st of feb....we had sex on the 25th of feb and the 2nd of march both times he came inside me and I just wondered when I should take a test because were hoping it is b4 he leaves!!!
