I didnt get any EWCM this month and I always get it.
DH and I arent trying, were actually preventing.

We pull out all the time, but when I have EWCM we use condoms.

I had spotting on CD 15 &16 but no EWCM so I didnt think I was ovulation.
I figured I'd ovulate late...

Well Im on CD 19 and still no EWCM.

Could the spotting have been indicitive of ovulation?

Or should I keep an eye our still for EWCM?

I suppose it's possible to ovulate without the EWCM. You said you had spotting though, that can sometimes be a result of ovulating too.

Sorry my answer isn't the greatest! If I were you, I'd still play it safe. You might have an off-cycle and ovulate later. Good luck!

When I got pregant with my son I didnt notice any ewcm so I didn't think I was pregnant so you may wanna test when its time I tested at 5 weeks and got a faint positive keep us updated please

Just CM can depend woman to woman. Some women gets lots of EWCM and others get very small amounts, there are even some who get none but can get a more watery like cm which could be indictative of ovulation too. Also, there is ovulation spotting, but normally that happens just after ovulation so it's possible that the egg already broke through and you experienced spotting, typically it's very light.

I haven't had any fertility issues and when I ttc'ed I did notice that there were months where I had an abundance of EWCM but there were also some where I noticed that it was only watery, and I only really realized I ovulated because I was charting/temping. I did have spotting twice that I know of while I was tracking with ovulation, even though it's not common for me normally

It may not be noticeable in all women,that's why some check their cervix and while checking it observe their cm too.

I always got better results checking my CM from my cervix. However, I was gearing up to ovulate and it failed.. and ovulated the next week and ... here we are 5 mos prego.

The blood definitely sounds like it could have been an indication of O especially at that point of your cycle. Though like others have said it would be best to careful for the rest of the month just in case.
