So the first day of my last normal period was March 31. About 2 weeks after that I started feeling sick and my breasts hurt a lot for about 2 weeks and in that time grew significantly. I immediately took a test and it was negative, but as I learned later too early to tell. So over the next two weeks I was feeling pretty nauseous and my breasts hurt and grew and I was peeing all the time, over these 2 weeks I took several hpts all negative. But then I got my period (so that was April 29). However it was abnormal, I got it in the middle of the day which is weird I always get it at night, and it just started pretty heavy and continued for 3 days then was done, it didn't get lighter and lighter till it went away like normal I was just bleeding and then the next time I went to the bathroom, nothing. So I booked an appt with a new doctor (didn't have a doctor before) and he saw me a week later. I talked to him and told him that I was feeling sick and my breasts grew and hurt and that I was peeing often so he sent me to get a blood test. Which was May 10th. The week after getting the blood test I started getting more symptoms, still peeing often my breasts starting to hurt again and now the areola is bigger and darker and has little bumps (Montgomery something?) also very veiny looking, and this entire week my stomach has been so bloated, which I never get. Every morning it looks normal and by nighttime I look pregnant. My stomach is also very hard and I do not excersize (yes I should) and have never had a firm stomach. My breasts are also firm and bigger still. Personally I think my stomach looks like there's a line of hair down the middle and a darker line from my belly button but I may just not have noticed that before. Now I got the blood test results which were negative and friday (yesterday) I went to see the doctor and he said its negative your not pregnant so I told him about the bloating and said why are my breasts different then and he said (without looking at them and never seeing them without my shirt off) I don't notice a difference. So I have read a lot where ppl didn't get positive results until they are 3 months. I just feel like everything is negative but I feel pregnant. Sorry for such a long post, but do you think its possible? And if not then what is this? I should be getting my period next monday or tuesday (April 27 or 2 so I have started taking vitamins just in case and limiting caffeine, if I do miss this period then i'll get an ultrasound. That would make me in my best guess 7 weeks pregnant now?
I am so sorry you are going through this. The only way I know of a blood test giving a false negative is if it is done too early like in the first few days after conception. Given the symptoms you have if you were pregnant it should definitely show on a blood test. I have no idea what would cause these symptoms otherwise. I am sorry I couldn't be of more help. Again sorry you are being put through this.
I would say wait a couple more day if not a week and see if they will run another beta hcg on you. I don't have any other good answer as to why you are having those symptoms. Have you come off of birth control??
I'm 20 years old and have never been on birth control. I've never really kept track of my period but it seems regular, every month. And no I'm not overweight I'm 5'6 150pds. I just recently became sexually active (like march) with my fiancé so I figured maybe that had something to do with it. This is going to be a long week to wait for my period lol.
Your symptoms sound pregnancy related...but it's strange the test results are showing that. I would encourage you to keep seeing the doctor. It may be pregnancy, hormonal imbalance, or even a food intolerance.
Good luck and I hope you get answers!
Thank-you Bokkechick for the beautiful siggy!

I'm no expert but I'm thinking you aren't pregnant. Many of those symptoms could be from something else or like me, you are noticing things you didn't notice before because you think you might be pregnant. ?? You said you got a doc, is it a regular doc or a GYNO?

He's just a regular doc... And my only explanation for it would be that maybe I ovulated later in my cycle so when I did the blood test I wasn't as far along as I thought and so it was a false negative?
Am in a similar situation! Had normal period in Jan then began to get lots and lots of pregnancy symptoms. Was convinced that I was pregnant however and was waiting it out to be able to convince docs to give me a blood test or ultrasound to see what was going on. At 56 days I started to bleed very bright red and on third day passed a large clot; then bleeding stopped. I thought I had miscarried but now I'm at 96 days, no period! Have been back to docs to see lovely lady doctor who wants to give me a blood test next week for hormone levels and pregnancy. Have down three more hpts recently and all negative! If I am pregnant I may be 14 weeks or 21 weeks (if indeed it wasn't a miscarriage and I have been pregnant all this time). She wants to see me 2 days after my test as well which is good as its usually a week.
Hope I get some answers! Me and my fiancé have been trying to conceive for nearly a year now so all fingers and toes are crossed. It's just so frustrating all this waiting and wondering. I am definitely gaining weight around my middle and even getting full pains like I did with my son when I was pregnant.
