So, I started off this cycle by saying I was going to wait until AF was late to test and that I wasn't going to start symptom spotting, both of which I didn't do. I started symptom spotting last week and I also broke and tested last Sunday. I myself convinced myself the test was negative and all of my friends are telling me it's just a faint positive. On the day my period was supposed to come I started spotting light brown and pink and then it was a light flow of light brown and pink and a little bit of light red and absolutely no clots. It lasted until last night and then it stopped and nothing since.
Last week I started feeling nauseous, now it's almost all the time. My boobs have been very tender and sore and they're also bigger. I've had this twinge on the left and right side of my back flip flopping all day. I've been dry heaving and all I've wanted to eat was lettuce on anything and everything which isn't normal for me either.
I took a test this morning and it was negative then of course I started doing research on implantation bleeding which said that conception could take anywhere from 2 days to 12 days and then implantation anywhere from 6 days to 12 days and sometimes the hormones don't get released around the time of the period that it happens but it's not really a period. So my current theory is that since I did my AI on the 13th and I ovulated between the 15th and 16th it took a week for conception then another week for implantation to happen which gives reason for the light flow for two days then nothing. So technically the bleeding I had could've been implantation and then of course it takes 48 hours or so to show up on a HPT.
Yes, your theory is correct. Implantation happens anywhere from 6-12 days past ovulation with the norm being between 8-10dpo. When you implant, you may have implantation bleeding which is very light and not like a normal period. It is usually brownish or pinkish in color. You can get a positive test on an hpt two days after implantation bleeding because it takes that long for the hormone to build up in your system to register on a test. So .... if you ovulated on cycle day 14.....of a 28 day cycle......then you implant on 8 dpo or cd22, then you can possibly test positive on 10dpo or cd 24. Hope that made sense. Good luck
