I'm going a little crazy

Hubby and I are NTNP and we have an 18-month-old. I have PCOS so my periods are very irregular. 10 days ago, I had severe O pains. I recognize them because I RARELY have them. Hubby and I BD'd a lot around that time. So today I assume I'm 10DPO since we don't chart or temp.

So on the 19th, approx. 8DPO, I noticed my lower back had been aching furiously. That's how it started with my daughter. I thought "hmm, might as eel test, get my negative and get it out of my mind. "

So I went to the dollar store and got a $1 First Signal ($0.88 WM to you guys) test. It was mid morning and I had a two hour hold. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me because I could see the faintest (squinter!!) second line. I knew it was much too early for that so I waited.

Then, of course, I couldn't wait. I bought more $1 tests and used two that evening, each after a 2-hour hold mostly because I couldn't hold any longer. Each test did the same thing, within the time limit, a serious squinter. I mean, hold it to the light, take a picture, zoom in on the picture. I used the negative colors on my phone and I could see a second line but I thought I was going nuts.

Yesterday morning, 9DPO, I took one using FMU. Sure enough, within the time frame, a second line. Still a squinter but a tiny bit more noticable.

You know how a line appears on the test area when the dye is running across, even if it's a negative test? With each test, That happened but the line lingered for a very long time before settling to a squinter. Before, the line would appear and hang around for 1-2 seconds, give me a heart attack, then disappear. This time it stayed, but faded. Not sure what to make of that.

This morning, 10DPO, the same thing happened. I expected a much darker line. I waited six minutes, took a picture, and to my surprise, the second line is clearly visible (if you squint of course) and it is pink. You really have to strain to see it!

What are the chances of there being instant evaps on multiple tests? With these tests, I've never seen anything but stark white. No indent, not even an evap until two hours later. Each test has given me something. Maybe it's a bad batch. I don't know. But at 10DPO, shouldn't I see something more with FMU? I will try to post a pic later. Thanks!

I do see a line.. and they are always lighter for me on those tests than on FRERs.. I will say at 10dpo, I had a barely there squinter on an FRER.. like really barely there.. But, I'd maybe try and FRER and see what comes up! Good luck!

Hmm, this is what I use. You definitely have more of a line than I have ever gotten, but I test to ensure negatives, lol so that's good. Since its so light, can you run and grab a frer? Did you save theurine catch from the test? I know those are the dropper sstyle. It would be a great control.

I'm actually at work now or else I would grab another. I have one more left but I plan to use it tomorrow morning. I've used these tests a million times and I've never received anything but stark white! I'm excited to hear other ladies are seeing a line and maybe I'm not insane. I'm trying not to think about it. I've been super emotional lately (too early? ) Abd my nipples are kinda pinchy/tingly. I've never had that. Trying not to get my hopes up. I was a total jerk to my husband last night and I feel so bad. I haven't told him yet because I don't want him to stress. :/ Btw your baby is gorgeous!

Awe, thank you! She's 3 now. And a pistol. Lol im willing to bet that line darkens up nicely for you. I have taken a ton of those too and never a line, except when the dye goes across, omg gave me an heart attack! !. Carolines lines were super faint too at first.

I honestly don't see anything either. But faint lines don't photograph very well. Good luck for tomorrow!

Thank you everyone for your input! I took another test tonight and again, a very faint line. What are the chances that ten tests would give me the same result within the time frame? I've only had stark white negatives with these tests. I'm really trying not to get my hopes up but this keeps happening.

I completely understand guarding yourself against disappointment, but I agree. The chances of so many giving the same light line, or evap are nil. So, let's hope it starts darkening and burrowing in there. Those super early ones are sooo confusing. Lol

When I found out I was pregnant with this LO it was because of multiple squinters on those First Signal tests. I thought they were evaps. But nope... if you can see it in real life, and its showing up on a multiple tests you may be pregnant. Good luck! Hopefully it gets darker very soon

I think I may be out ladies ... today is 11DPO. I took one with FMU (6 hour hold) and its just as light as the one on my post up there :/ hubby found out last night and prematurely told the whole family. I asked him not to. I'm so conflicted.

The line is there but it's a squinter even still. That's a total of 13 tests, all with the exact same result. I just want to cry. I just want a line that's easily seen.

What I have heard is that the cheapies don't tend to darken up much. And, I think the sensitivity isn't as good as the frer. So, you may be better off trying for one of those. Remember, it takes 48 hrs for the number to double. If its a small number just starting, it may not show much as a darker line.

Ugh, I'm soo sorry he told early. I'd be frustrated too if I hadn't even gotten a decent line yet! Lol my dh does this, and im afraid he's going to tell asap again. I bled heavily with my last, it was a struggle to make viability. He was born healthy, but this time I think I want visual conformation before we sayaanything.

I would highly encourage you to take a frer.. Then you will know for sure. My dollar tests didnt start getting darker until around 17 or 18dpo and didn't get as dark as the control until almost 24dpo.
