He was born Sept 1 @ 7:54am. He weighed 7 pounds 1 ounce, 18 inches long. brown hair blue eyes.
This was the scariest section I have ever been through and one of the WORST experiences of my life. My uterus tore when they took him out and when they were trying to stitch it back closed, it kept tearing...and bleeding. Doc said it was because I had a weak spot in my uterus. (I dont know if that was because I got pregnant so soon after my last section or what) I lost a lot of blood. I was laying there shaking, teeth chattering, freezing going in and out of it. I watched my blood pressure drop down to 42/30, and kept going in and out of it-shaking my head back and forth trying to keep from passing out.
I really got nervous when the anesthesiologist said uh, do we have everything under control? And suggested that they order a blood match for a blood transfusion. They put this plastic thing that had warm air blowing through it to warm me up. I finally stabilized when they stopped the bleeding but my tummy was open for a long time. 2 hours in the OR...
I got to see my baby briefly before they took him out. I will try to post pic when Im not so exhausted. Im just thankful we are both alive!
WOW! I am so glad everything turned out ok but I can imagine how frightened you must have been! I went into shock with my last two due to an allergic reaction to the anesthesia and I remember thinking I hope my (then husband) would let my mom raise my daughter because he would SUCK at it...it's so scary! You rest up and when you feel up to it we would LOVE to see your precious bundle!
