How does everything work if he ends up deploying? He texted me and asked me to back date everything so the divorce can be finished by february becusae he volunteered for a deployment.

Well I put the date we seperated which is in august and now it just depends where i file it. I am going to get everything else notairzed and then file when I get to delaware this week. and if everything goes well then we will be divorced in february.

As far as child support though I contacted Child Support Enforcement and filled out the appropriate paperwork to get that started and we have decided to go through mediation for custody. I am not worried about him tkaing the kids becuase he seriously cant handle them for more than one night before he is ready to ship them back to me.

If he ends up deploying before you're divorced, then he falls under the Soldier/Sailors Act and the divorce will stall out until he gets back from his deployment.

I'm in the process of divorcing as well. I got an attorney since I didn't want to mess anything up. We're doing an uncontested divorce, where I'm retaining sole custody of Frederick, our c/s is remaining the same (1136), and once a month we'll meet 1/2 way for visitation with Frederick from 10 am-6pm on a Saturday that he picks and lets me know a week in advance. Then he gets 2 weekends a month he can come up here and see him but has to return him by 6 pm each night.

Though honestly, I doubt the vistation really happens since he's only been up here to see him once without working in a 2 year span of time.
