My DD was born at 36 weeks 4 days. She was diagnosed with reflux at 8 weeks and put on Zantac. She is now 10.5 weeks and due to her rapid weight gain we are having to up her dosage...so I will be picking up a new prescription at Target. I know the Zantac has a minty flavor to start (she will take it but is not particularly fond of the mint flavor) Target offers to add "yummy" flavors to their medicines. Have any of you added flavor to Zantac for your lo's? Does it help or make it taste worse since it's already kind of minty? If so...What flavor did you choose?

We had our DD's prilosec flavored as it tasted super yucky. So we got it grape flavored as they only had three choices for a compounded med for some reason. We had some other med she was on once flavored bananna since most babies like banannas, but for some reason we could not get the compounded prilosec in that flavor. We did find that it helped with the prilosec - I had tasted it without it and it was seriously bad. I've tasted the zantac too - my DD started on that before moving to prilosec - and it wasn't bad at all. So I think its up to you. Costs a little more to flavor, but you could always try it for this month and see what you think.
