I just wanted your thoughts on if the chiropractor really works. I recently started taking ds to a Chiropractor, unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover it and we cannot afford to keep going especially since I can't tell if it's working or not. My ds has silent reflux so he doesn't spit up, but he is wakening every hour in pain, day and night for the last two months. Since going to the chiropractor this has not changed at all. We have been 5 times so far and he said originally it would take 5 to 6 times. At his last visit he said ds is 85-90% and we would start spacing them out more. But I thought it would be 5 or 6 times total, not 5 or 6 times then 50 more, KWIM?
I guess I would like to know if anyone has seen any real results and if so how many treatments did it take to be cured?

Hi
Sorry, we never tried the chiropractor route so I can't really help you with your question. Have you seen any improvement at all in your ds since going? I'd say if you haven't seen any improvement at all then its not worth it, especially if the chiropractor is saying your ds is better. If you're not seeing that he's better, I wouldn't trust the chiro's opinion, know what I mean? Are you sure the waking every hour in pain is from reflux, by the way? Could it be teething or an ear infection?
Hopefully someone else on here has used a chiro for this and can give you some advice on that regards...

Hi Beth,
What did you decide to do about the chiropractor? Is Joshua on any reflux meds too or were you just doing the chiropractor? How's the sleeping going for him?

We stopped going to the Chiropractor, it was too expensive and we weren't seeing any results. We put him back on the Prevacid and he seems to bet getting a bit better. Sleep is still a issue...he is popping teeth like crazy though. Thanks for asking

Ouch - teething hurts! We figure we should buy stock in infant tylenol and infant ibuprofen due to it! My DD is cutting at least three right now and has double ear infections - poor girly girl!
I'm glad to hear the prevacid is working a bit - hopefully over time it will help more and more.
