Hello I'm Kaytee, SAHM to Nichole (3 1/2) and Avery (6 weeks) Avery was diagnosed with reflux at 3 weeks. I thought she was just an angry high maintainance baby at a week old with the screaming. But it just got worse and worse. She was put on Zantac twice a day and Maalox in between. Helped a tad but not much. So her ped sent us for an ultrasound. She had to be NPO for 3 hours before and then they tried to give her a bottle of water. Being that she has never had a bottle, she refused and they let me nurse her. Then they did the ultrasound on her belly for 10 min. She had 2 major and 4 minor episodes in that short time. She is now on Prevacid 1/2 tab salutab twice a day. We have been doing that for 3 days now and it really seems to be helping. She actually lets me put her down once and while. Of course she still has to sleep in her car seat to keep from puking all night but other then that, the meds seem to be helping.

Hi. Glad to hear that your LO is doing better. It does seem to get better as they get older!
