Anyone's child not diagnosed as an infant? We just had a speech eval for my 16 month old ds who isn't saying any words and the slp did diagnose him with oral motor problems and also suggested he get evaluated for reflux. He will sometimes (not every day) gag and then swallow and start to cry. And he sometimes burps a lot and it smells acidic. But he didn't arch his back and cry while eating as an infant, or spit up a lot. He didn't like nursing though, and tried to avoid it even when I would try to make him nurse, only eating for 4-5 minutes every 4 hours or so. My 10 year old dd used to throw up in her sleep as a toddler and never even wake up, and she did projectile vomit as an infant, and her dr. said she had reflux but back then I guess they didn't really do meds for kids with reflux? She pretty much has outgrown it. So ds has a dr appt today. What do you guys think?
