Im Shelly im 21 My DH is Anthony hes 24, we had our 1st child a boy named Kolt Ray! He is 4 months and 1 week! He has Acid Reflux and man its depressing...hes on Zantac 3 times a day at .8dose....I get told by some people that the meds is to stop the spitting up and others say no its so the acid on the spit up does not eat their esphogus and cause pain resulting in crying! What have yall been told and what kind of formula is your LO on?

Hi Shelly, when was his last dose upped? Make sure your dr. ups his dose as Kolt's weight goes up. Max has been on Enfamil Nutramigen for reflux since 3 weeks :-( Max currently weighs 17.5 lbs and he takes 1.4 mL. Also, I was told the zantac helps protect his esophagus and reduce the pain on the baby from the acid. Unfortunately spit up is just part of the game now, invest in lots of bibs
