Hi ladies,

I'm new to this board and my son unfortunately developed reflux. We are now on the dis-solvable Prevacid tablets and I was wondering if there was a trick to giving them or the method you use?

Thank you so much for your help!

I am no help since B takes Zantac, but can you dissolve it in his formula or maybe a lil juice?

Hopefully some of the other ladies on this board will have some better ideas.

Natalie takes a liquid form of Prevacid. Only 1 pharmacy in my area is able to compound it for us. I didn't know there were dissolvable tablets. The Prevacid is not really helping much though. I'm thinking about switching to Zantac.

I think I have figured it out! The problem was it dissolves in little balls that are just a little too big to fit through the nipples on this bottles and when I tried it with a syringe he would spit it out! They unfortunately don't have the liquid form anywhere around here but I'm dissolving the tablet in a tiny syringe now mixed with formula and waiting until hes really hungry and it seems to be working... thank god! We tried the Zantac but it didn't seem to work, so far the Prevacid is working a lot better for him, still not perfect but at least manageable! Thank you guys so much anyways!
