Hi i'm Alice, and my DS is Teddy. He's almost 6 months old.
He's always been a spitty baby, but i think breastfeeding and a small dose of pepcid kept things in check. He's now been diagnosed with MFPI or multiple food protein sensitivies. I had to go on an elimination diet to help his symptoms. He was great when i ate properly. Problem was, he got sensitive to more and more things. He was constantly vomiting. We upped his pepcid dose to 8mg twice a day, and switched him to neocate infant formula. His colic and bloody mucousy stool seem better on the neocate, but his reflux is worse.
I'm trying to use vented bottles to help. This morning he vomited up his breakfast... i think it's because i gave it too close to his morning pepcid. Any advice is welcome.
Also is drooling at all related to reflux? My son since starting formula has to wear a bib because he's so drooly. He's also at the teething age though so that could be it too.
Severe refluxers are very drooley. Possibly because their throats are always irritated by the reflux. Gabe is still medicated at 20 months and he's stil a faucet some days because he can't keep up with all the spit. We didn't have any luck with different bottles so I don't have any advice there. But welcome and good luck!
