Does your district make you wear an ID? How do you wear it (around your neck, etc.)?

Yup! We have lanyards that they gave us to wear them around our neck. I am so used to it that I actually feel "naked" if I forget it at home!

Every employee in our district (I'm a teacher's aide but about to be a teacher, yay!) has to wear them. I wear mine on a breakaway lanyard around my neck. I've been working with emotionally disturbed kids who would try to strangle me with it if given the chance, so now if you yank on it, it just falls off.

The district is trying to get all the kids to wear them too. They provided the clips at the beginning of the year and some of the schools have made the kids wear them. My school hasn't done that yet.

I wear my ID around my neck... with my keys as well. I try not to bang into the kids too much

Yes. I wear mine around my neck in one of those employee id pouches you can get at Staples.

We don't have to wear them in my home school. But if we go to another school or the district office we need to have them on.

We have to have them. Mine is pretty heavy with keys, my id, my cpr mask, and my electronic passcode key so I don't wear it around my neck anymore...I have one of those clips that has a string that you can unravel your keys to reach the door without unclipping it (haha...does that make sense?!). I clip it to my pants pocket or waist depending on the pants I'm wearing.
