Does your schedule stay the same each year...or does it vary? If your schedule changes it, are you a part of the change, is it all your principal, or is it a committee of some kind?

When I wasn't moving the schedule didn't change. When I started at this school we had a new principal who changed the schedule. There was no teacher input. We were all pretty shocked at the lunch schedule. My first graders don't eat until 12:25. Second grade not till 12:50. But that is because only one grade level eats at a time.

The schedule hasn't changed in a few years - even though I just started two weeks ago, I know this, because the schedule on my wall is from 2007-2008, haha!

The periods last 45 minutes. Lunch is supposed to be 30 minutes, but the class meets in my room, I take attendance, wait for them to get settled down, line them up, wait for them to get settled down again, and then walk them to the cafeteria. So, they usually don't get an entire lunch - which means neither do I! My lunch break is the same as theirs.

I personally have 3 double-blocked classes, so I have 90 minute classes instead of 45 minutes.

The bell schedule mostly stays the same at my school.

My first thought was about my schedule of classes - like when my conference and lunch is. That changes each year, as determined by whoever does the master schedule. I have no input into that. I don't even have a real say in what subject I teach each year.
