Does anyone have a good newsletter template (either one you made or one found online)? I'm bored with mine and would love to see what others use!

I am going to make a new one next year too. I have a few from other teacher's that I have saved to my flash drive that I can email you. I am going to look through teacher club house this summer too. I haven't decided if I am going to do a ocean theme or a western theme for next year. We have to pick a book to decorate our door with. I am either going to do "Rainbow Fish" or a western theme book. Just haven't found the book yet. LOL. Just send me a pm and I will get those to you. It may be a while though since we are going out of town.

Thanks Angela! I'll PM you.

Fun idea to do a theme! I'd like to do one, but it sounds like a lot of work...hmmm...my wheels are turning....

Mine isn't really a template so I can't be any help. Though we did get some good ones at our new teacher stuff, but they aren't electronic, so I can't get them to you.

I made my own using Word's tables. I don't have it saved on this computer, but I will try to explain it.
I have a heading across the top (about an inch which contains the "name" of my newsletter and the week of the newsletter.
The next two thirds is divided into two columns. The one on the left is about 1/4 the width of the page and contains weekly necessities-when we have what specials class (art music pe), lunch menu and when what homework is due.
The other 3/4 contains the actual newsletter. An overview of the past week-usually something exciting we did or found out and what we will be doing the following week (I send them home on Friday) in each subject. I also include my contacts here...every week-no excuse for parents not to be able to reach me.
The next is a long narrow horizontal box that goes accross the whole page (using tables remember) with just our spelling words, sight words and letter of the week (I teach kindergarten).
Below that I have thw page split in two even columns. The left one contains a quick look at what students need to make sure they have each day. I have found this is very helpful to parents, especially those with busy lives. They can look at it and easily see they need to make sure their child (for example) need PE shoes and their library book that day. It just serves as a reminder.
The column on the right I leave for anything extra. Special announcements, class plans, upcoming events, teacher wish list, any items students will need to bring in for special projects, etc. If there isnt really going on I give educational resources.

Thanks for the links Angela, and for the rest of you explaining yours! I kind of took a mix of what everyone said and created one. I think b/c we have to do one every week I get bored of the same template...so I'm always redoing mine.
