And it was great! I only have 17 first graders. And they are sweetest little group of kids. I have always had a few who, well you know, have alot more energy. Well this year I only have one and he is only half as powerful as the some of my past students. It is looking like it is going to be a great year.
Yesterday I had a Sonic drink delivered right before lunch. The note said:
We are "soda" lighted that you are our son's teacher. Yes it was from another teacher - it totally made my day.
17 is a great number! I'm so worried about this years incoming 7th graders. It's a BIG group. I might have 130-150 students. ACK! All I'll be doing with my "free time" is correcting essays. Sometimes it's a bummer being an English teacher. I should have stuck with math.
