Hello! I've introduced myself in the welcome section and in a few other places, but wanted to here, too! I'm a Pre-School teacher for 4 year olds, mostly bridge students. I LOVE what I do, and wish I could do it without all the politics! Anyway, hope to join in here with you ladies!

Bridge students are 4yr old pre-schoolers that are held back from going to Kindergarten because they won't turn 5 within 2 weeks of school starting. So I have kids turning 5 throughout the year, and they go on to Kindergarten the next year. Bridge students have their own class because even though they're educationally ready for Kindergarten, they're not physically old enough. We don't want to hold them back in Pre-K where they'd get bored and into trouble, so we make them their own class that touches on Kindergarten concepts and do different things with what they already know so that it's "new". I have a few every year who are already 5 at the start of the year but are being held back because they need another year of Pre-K to reinforce everything before going to Kindergarten, but are getting bored in Pre-K.

Ohhh...that makes sense! It sounds similar to our 4-year old kindergarten.
