My kiddos start testing tomorrow - Looking forward to tests being over - just need to figure out what we're doing for the rest of the year!

We have 9 more days. I know that there are 9, but I feel like there must be a lot more. Don't get me wrong, I'm ready for summer, but I'm not OVERLY anxious like I can be some years. (Talk to me next week, I may change my mind...

Summer has started!! And my boys have been up early everyday - LOL They all went fishing this morning. I always have a hard time adjusting to the summer schedule at first. This year I have a very long to-do list. We are going to start with a closet make over. My closet is the spare bedroom so it doesn't have traditional racks. But I bought some yesterday to attach to the black shelves and the wall. Crazy I know that I am excited about new bars in a closet. LOL. But not as crazy as how happy I was last week when Dh installed a new toilet and faucet in the master bath. Haha!

Did I tell you about the barn fire?

My to do list is a hundred miles long, too. I've just started posting a little bit on the home decor/organizing board on JM in hopes to get some ideas for organizing the house a bit better.

I don't recall hearing about the barn fire?? What happened?

March 13th I cam home to 7 firetrucks at my house, with 2 sherriff deputies, 2 EMT's and the power company. By the time I came home the entire barn had fallen. It was a complete loss. The barn and only about 30 yards from our house. It is right next to the dog kennel - amazing our dog escaped somehow. Our brand new camper was parked right next to it. It had $23,000 worth of damage. We still haven't got it back from the shop. The moment I pulled up to our driveway and realized that the fire really was at my house my neighbors showed up at the same time (we live in the country and my neighbors all live about 1/2 mile away) and they took my boys for me. The deputy at the mailbox controlling traffic was a very close friend. It was so great to see his face. My husband was at the lake.

At first we thought we had started the fire. D had a small brush fire near the barn. But they said the fire started to quickly and was too hot to be a brush fire. He was in the barn at 2:40 and checked on the fire. It was out. They said it was probably electrical. We had an electrician upgrade the box on the power pole and we found 2 feet of the line was black.

The worst part of the fire is that we lost all of our Christmas stuff, baby clothes, baby crib, baby blankets that were hand made by grandma, highschool yearbooks and a trunk full or military pictures and awards. The barn has already started being rebuilt. The floor has been poured and all of the framing is up. We are just waiting and the building crew to return to put up all of the siding.

Oh no!! I'm so sorry to hear that.

I'm glad no one was hurt but this....

that makes me feel awful!
