Have you read any fun books yet this summer? Are you planning on reading any?

How about professional books? Have any on your summer reading list?

I am reading some JF books - Wonder, Three Times Lucky, and The Hunger Games - as I might incorporate them into units next year. I am also reading two books for professional development purposes - Pathways to the Common Core and ELA MAPS. I'd like to squeeze in time to read 50 Shades of Grey, just to see what all the commotion is about.

I loved the Hunger Games trilogy! I read it around spring break...I may read them all again this summer! I just finished 50 Shades a few weeks ago. I'll be honest, I thought the writing was pretty bad. The first book didn't really have much of a story to it - but it got better.

I'm trying to get caught up on magazines that I've gotten throughout the year that I haven't read! I have about 92 Parenting magazines that I haven't read...lol. I'm looking for some more fun books to read too.

For professional books, I'm going to be re-looking at the Daily 5 and Daily Cafe books as well as a F&P phonics book.
