Do you do any time of portfolio with your students? If so, what kind (writing, reading, etc.) and what do you put in it?

Not as much as I should. I do have a folder for each student where I keep computerized test scores and literacy first results. I really want to do a monthly writing project to keep in there as well.

I like the idea of doing a monthly writing project and saving it. Last year we did weekly journals and I used that to show a progression. I feel like they would be more likely to do their best work on a writing assignment versus a journal entry.
