Long time no see. After I quit my job in January and only subbed for the second semester I felt like I just didn't have anything to do on this board. Partially because I had lost a lot of my interest in teaching, I was very down because of how my job had been. I was recently hired as a part-time teacher at the district I was in 2 years ago (where I was RIF'd). So I'm going to be a "B day" teacher. (The high schools are on A/B schedules, 4 classes on A day, 4 on B day). So I will teach every other day, though I have heard rumors it might increase. However, being back in this district and back in a high school just totally renew my spirit toward teaching, so I thought I'd stop back by the board and say "Hi." So what's new with everyone? Babies, jobs, etc.?

Welcome back! Glad you are back in a place that makes you happy. Same old same old for me. School starts on the 4th. Still teaching 6th grade.

Hey! Welcome back! Congrats on the new job!

Not much different for me! Still teaching 2nd grade. We start inservice next week and kids come back on the 4th. I'm SO not ready yet.

Had my first contract day today, totally stunk. I just couldn't get anything done, road block after road block. Starting with when I log in, I'm still in the system under my last schools stuff!

Thanks, I probably am getting to need a new siggy. She's so much different in just a few months, and probably I ought to consider one with all 5 kids since I haven't had one with 5 kids before.
