Thought I would ask what everyone wants.........

I am thinking it would be advice on parent/teacher interaction, dealing with how to get homework time to be less painful, transitions into school etc. What do you think?

First, I can't believe my suggestion ACTUALLY became a board! I am sooooooo excited! This is what I would like to see...

1) A place where parents can ask unsolicited questions about dealing w/ teachers, their children & the school system.
2) An advice board for for parents to come to when dealing w/ a situation w/ a teacher (such as parent/teacher conferences, comments made by teachers that may offend & how to approach them, etc.).
3) A board where parents can ask how to better their child's study habits & homework habits.
4) What is expected at each grade level & advice on whether testing should be done (remember we aren't psychologists, only have opinions on how it can affect the child in class).
5) What materials may be used (manipulatives, flashcards, workbooks or other related activities) to enhance student learning at home.

UM.....I think that is it for now!!!!

I also think it's a great way for teachers to talk to other teachers about curriculum ideas... what to teach and how to teach it... especially at the high school level where teachers have more flexibility in things like literature or whatever.

Yes, Chrystal! I would love to be able to ask other teachers about curriculum ideas... I love feedback, and I love new ideas. This is only my second year teaching, so I definitely could use the help!
