I've only done it once so far and I used a blanket. Once I get more comfy with my Moby wrap, I plan to nurse in it.

I have used a blanket myself. I don't even think people really notice, personally.

I use a blanket. Once I had to walk around and feed her in a store so I wasn't able to use a blanket but I had a loose shirt on that revealed NOTHING!

I use a blanket just to get him to latch then everything seems pretty well hidden so I lower the blanket after he is latched.

I use a hooter hider. I felt stupid after I bought it because it was so expensive, but I have actually been very very happy with it. We went to San Fran a few weekends ago and El got to eat all over the place, the ferry building, the botanical gardens and even in a fancy restaurant. My DH took pictures, I'll have to post them on here later. My 10 yr old niece was here last week and DID NOT want her mom to take a pic of sitting next to me at the train museum using the HH. (she is a goof)

Never heard of a hooter hider.....will have to look it up.

Nursing tanks in my town here are $60!! Im not paying that much for a tank top, might as well sew a piece of material to my nursing bra

Target has nursing camis, someone on here recommended them in another thread so I went and got one. I like it a lot more than the other nursing cami that I have by expressiva. I am going to get one in every color and a few bras too. Luckily I have gone down a little since the birth so my other bras are a bit too big and bulky.

I bought a sling and have used it once but it seems a little awkward right now, I don't think I am using it properly although I've read everything and it all looks good. I do bring a blanket with me too. I usually just nurse in the van.

when i NIP, i tried a lot of different things but the best combo i found was a nursing tank under a shirt or hoodie that opened in the front...or jacket, or sweater...

that way belly was covered by the tank, breast was accessible after unclasping and other shirt would cover up anything else.

VERY LITTLE showed ever. i wasn't too worried about it as i didn't want to feel like i was trying to cover anything "gross" up, but i wasn't wanting to hang out all over the place for others either.

tried the blanket...felt like i needed four arms to keep it in place. plus i felt like i was bringing more attention to myself by trying too hard to cover up.

tried the hooter hider...dd hated being covered up!

so you see, there were many reasons that the other combo worked for me. it was awesome and i never had a negative comment about it.

btw, my fave tanks were by bravado designs ( www.bravadodesigns.com ) best bras and tanks out there IMHO...i tried a few other brands on ( when i could actually find a size that would fit in a regular store... is was a 38 f...crazy)

in any case, you should check them out. i still have mine and they are in fine shape after 2 years of abuse...i'll use them for the next kid

hope this helps.

oh and FWIW , i 've heard a lot of people have great success nursing in a sling too, but i never tried that with my last. maybe with the next
