I'm not BF yet but planned to once our baby is born. I also plan to pump once I return to work.

Any recommendations on which pumps are the best?

To pump and work full time, you'll want a pretty heavy duty one to keep up. Definitely a double electric! Ameda's Purely Yours and Medela's Pump in Style are two well rated ones you can buy, or you can price renting one. Once Upon A Child here rents them, it's a consignment store for baby stuff, as does a local baby boutique. Hospitals also rent them, and some Walgreens I'm told.

Depending on how long you intend to pump and the rate you get on a rental, it may be cheaper to rent.

i have the avent isis - i used it a lot at first but now im more confident at feeding out and about i hardly use it so it was good for me.
I hear lots of good things about the Medela's Pump in Style too. If you check out the pumping section of breastfeeding im sure you will get a ton of info there too as the host there is from my ddc with twins and knows a ton about pumping !

I just bought the Avent Isis IQ duo the other day and while I haven't had it for long so far I really like it. I chose this pump because most of the reviews I read were positive (not all breast pumps work for everyone) and it has a closed system so no problems with the possibility of mold or condensation getting in the tubing. I had been using a hospital grade pump (Medela Lactina) for the two days I am in school (to build a back up supply and to keep my milk production up) and I actually like the Duo better because I can set it to pump whatever feels right to me and I get about the same amount if not more out of each pumping as I did with the hospital grade. Hope that helps some.

I have the Ameda Purely Yours and I love it! Babybungalow.com has it for $149, which is the cheapest I've ever seen it.

I also have the Medela Pump in Style Advanced and love it. I looked into the Ameda Purly Yours, but I liked the fact that I could get replacement parts, etc for the Medela at my local stores.

I, too, have the Medala Pump In Style Advanced. It's great! Check out www.bestbuybaby.com. They can't post their prices online, but you can call. I got mine there for $225.

I have the Medela PIS too. I bought it from here. http://www.hackleyhme.com/

I ordered it on a Friday and it was at my house on MOnday. They don't list their prices though, because they are so low, you have to email them and they will email you the prices...they don't pressure you though.

I paid about $225 for mine with free shipping.
