nak

after reading here and on other bf boards about VS carrying nursing bras dh and i went into our local store to check them out. we looked around, dh found a few things he liked lol, but i didn't see any nursing bras. now i expected them to maybe only have a couple way in the back, but they had none! when the girls working there stopped chatting and finally noticed someone was actually in the store they asked if they could help us. i asked if they had nursing bras. two of them just looked at each other and the one behind the counter looked up with a DISCUSTED look on her face and said "we don't carry THOSE!" i said "that''s just what i expected" and walked out. dh was even offended!

so a big BOOOOOOOOO goes to VS!

are you serious???? I thought the nursing bras were probably made to try to make up for the nursing incidents, and that employees would be instructed to have a good attitude about them. I can't wait to go to my store and find out what happens there!

You should write them. A holes.

Well we know they make them... those idiots probably don't know about them yet. They are going to feel really stupid when they do get some in.

I'd call and talk to the manager!!! There's no excuse for those employees to act like they did!

really...how rude!! i went into VS and asked if they had nursing bras too and the woman was such an idiot. she said that they didn't carry them but but maybe they sell them online....moron had no clue. i needed a bra anyway so i asked is they had any 32D or DD and the woman said "no, but why don't you try a 34C." i was like, "well i have a 34DD and the band is a bit too big, but the cup size fits, 34C is too small." her reply, "well why don't you just try it?" um, if a 34DD is what i'm wearing now...why would a C fit??? she said they are good for teenagers. OK i am 23 and i'm NURSING, i need a SUPPORTIVE bra. i walked away and got someone else to help me.

they do sell them online, but i need to try a bra on before i buy it.

If you won't call...PM me your town and I'll call the manager and pretend I am you. That is ridiculous!

I ditto the suggestions to call & speak to a manager. Customer complaints are the only way to change the attitude of the employees. When customers speak up, change eventually happens

IF you dont get a satisfactory response from the manager, keep going up the chain. Its well worth the time invested. Make your complaint formal & put it in writing if need be

On a side note, I don't think their nursing bras are available online. I hate that VS is so rude, but hopefully if they garner enough online sales it'll spur them to put them in stores. Supposedly theyre trying to "Reshape" their image.

I think itll take some "reshaping" of their employees first though.

That was definitely rude, but just chalk it up to an uninformed employee, with a lack of respect. She didn't have to respond the way she did, but it's likely that since it's a newer product and not in the stores yet, the employees haven't been told that they carry them. Calling the manager of the store may be a good idea and the complaint may spark some interest in informing thier employees of thier new products.

I'm sorry you were treated that way, especially because of their own ignorance. Another vote for calling and talking with the manager. I used to work for VS when I was 18 and I was written up for not looking "professional" enough, meaning I didn't come to work with make up on or my hair done everyday. I don't think they've changed much in the 10 years since I worked there.

I got a similar reaction when I went looking there well. And to top it off they tried to sell me one of their other new bras. *eye rollies*

I've never found the employees in VS to be anything short of rude and snotty anyway so I wouldn't expect any different of them on this issue.

Obviously that is not the opinion of VS - just the rude employees at your store. If they felt that way they wouldn't carry them. You can order them all online.

I once ordered nursing bras out of a catalog (JC Penney), and they SUCKED! But I couldn't return them because it's "underwear and it's non-refundable once it's on your body." How the hell was I supposed to know that the wires were going to STAB me and make the bra totally useless to me without putting it on my body first?!

I would never in million years give VS my money to begin with, but I'd especially not do it online again for nursing bras ANYWHERE. Ever.
