I usually start by freezing my BM in our upstairs freezer attached to the fridge and then move in down into our deep freezer every week or so - when I have a number of bags frozen.

Should I follow the storage time of the first freezer (3-4 months) or the second freezer (6 mos or longer)?

I do the same thing, and if I move the milk down to the chest freezer fairly quickly, I go by the 6 mo time frame. Hopefully that's okay.
