Can you all share with me some common nursing behaviors to look out for during teething?

General fussiness, nursing more or nursing far less, drooling, gnawing on their hands, latching/unlatching nonstop, etc.

Weve probably dealt with it all lol.

that's exactly what walter has been doing the last 3 days. i am in tears it's so frustrating. his dr said it's reflux and gave him medicine but i'm not sure i buy it. he has been diagnosed with reflux before but i don't think it's something that comes and goes in waves. but i think he's too young to be teething.
he's starting to refuse the breast. he'll act hungry and the minute i turn him to the side to eat he arches his back and screams, and then i put him upright and he fusses and eats his hands and drools everywhere. i am so confused and upset as this is now going on day 4. im starting to wonder if this will be the end for us and i'll have to start pumping

IT also sounds like it could be a growth spurt, but its certainly not too soon for teething. ALl babies deal with it differently. Its easier for some, harder for others, and some will teethe for a few days, others for months (like my daughter lol).

Hang in there, I dont see any reason to start pumping or supplementing esp as long as hes getting plenty of wet & poopy diapers (total of 5 - 6 a day).

It will pass, its just temporary. Like I always say - hold off on permanent choices/decisions for temporary problems

Are there any signs of thrush?

Lol, I hear ya

Just hang in there, it will get better. Try the 3 day sabbatical over the weekend or the next few days & hopefully hell get back to nursing more freuqently with less fuss. Has he hit the 3 mo growth spurt yet? could this be it?

I thought we were past the 3 month growth spurt, but what do I know. Why is motherhood such a guessing game?!

*raises hand* We've been dealing with it here too. I feel bad for her because it's obviously bothering her. I wish they would poke through already.
