so last night my DD went to sleep around 10 which is her usual time and normally she is up between 2-3 to eat and then goes back down until 7 or so, but last night or this morning rather I roll over and look at the clock and it is 7:40 of course my first thought is IS SHE ALIVE?!?!? and when I realize she is just fine and STILL sound asleep I start to panic thinking about her not eating and me not pumping for the last 9+ hours and wondering if this is going to negatively affect my supply???
so I needed to come ask the experts, do you think this is going to cause a drop in my supply??? and is there anything I should be doing today to make up for last night other than feeding her on demand as I always do?? I was full this morning but not really engorged or anything, is that a bad sign???
DD has been sleeping like that for a couple weeks now, enjoy it
If it affects supply for pumping, I dont know, I pump occasionally, Im off work till shes on solid foods. I sure wake up full though!! Slowly starting to even out even though i drink a big glass of water when i go to bed. No issues during the day.
Yay, you must feel so rested! No need to pump or make up for it, your supply will adjust. You might notice some fullness or engorgement on the mornings she sleeps longer, but she'll likely nurse it away.
