Have you tried your own milk? Breastmilk has healing properties and antibodies to prevent infection. I used to always express some after she nursed, then let it dry before putting my bra back on. Also, are you sure his latch is fine now? If it isn't, it will only aggrevate the crack, and it won't heal. If it was just a one-time thing, it should start to heal soon after, but my gut says that there is something more going on, since it seems to have only gotten worse. Meet with your lactation consultant again to check his latch and positioning. She can also check for mouth problems such as a tongue-tie, which can cause cracks. Once the problem is corrected, it will heal. Maybe not in a few days, but in a few weeks, it should be very close to it.
My last suggestion is to ditch the pump. It feels better to pump a cracked nipple, I know, but it's not good for your milk production this early on. It can also aggrevate the crack more than you think, and cause a delay in healing. Distract yourself while nursing to keep your mind off of the pain. Just remember, it can only get better, you will be nursing pain-free in no time!

It will heal...if really all you can do is pump then just keep on doing it! I had HORRID cracked, sore and painful nipples for almost three weeks into breastfeeding. After that the problems were nonexistant. Have you tried the Lansinoh cream? That was what I used and it worked great!
