Is it the mini-pill or regular pill? I think either one will cause you to have a period, but I don't have any personal experience them. That's another reason I avoided taking birth control. I went 9 months before I got my first PP period.

I want the ditto the pp. I went on the pill when ds when ds was 12 months old, and while my milk didn't completely dry up, it decreased DRASTICALLY. I went from having a massive supply to next to nothing. He did keep nursing for another year--mostly for comfort, but there is no way that supply would have been enough for an infant. I would also think that it would induce menstruation.
If you're on the minipill, it doesn't mess with supply, and you won't get an af.
I am on the minipill and have had no supply issues. Nor have I had a period. Its been almost 6 months now. With my other kiddo's, I didn't get my period back until I weaned them and went on full bcpills.
