My 4 week old clearly prefers to nurse on my right breast. He is content there and just sucks away. If he is on the left breast, he fusses, pulls off, gets frustrated. I have tried switching positions, I have done cross cradle, cradle, laying down and football and positions don't seem to change his feelings towards my "bad" boob Any suggestions to help him?

Go to a chiropractor. The birth is very hard on our babies necks. Also, we all get stiff necks. Sometimes they get bad enough they don't want to latch on one side.

That said, it's only one possiblity. I'm sure some other ladies will have good advice.

Congratulations on your new baby and your nursing relationship.

I know everyone prefers that the LO's will eat off of both boobs but our bodies are capable of feeding from just one. Many women successfully breastfeed from just one boob. If you dont mind being whopsided for a little while.

Mine did this too at first. I was advised to just keep trying to offer it. I found he took it better if i let him start on the preferred side & gave him a minute & then switched real quick - usually just sliding him right over.... I was also advised that if I chose to nurse on one side I may end up lopsided permanently - because although BF won't change your shape/texture, I was told by more than one healthcare provider that it may change my overall size & that could be permanent.... and I really didn't want that - so I kept trying & by 3 months (probably sooner, but I can't remember for certain) he was over it & eating fine on both sides. It can be a bit frustrating at first - but just keep trying. I am certain he will get the hang of it eventually....and looking back - had someone recommended a chiro - I would have given that a shot for sure!

Its quite normal for a baby to prefere one breast over the other.I have been feeding Noelia from my left breast since she was born. She prefers it over my right one and will only take the right one if we are both laying down..so I save my right breast for 8am feedings when we are both in bed together.
For the rest of the day,and for 5 months now,I have been feeding her from my left breast, and shes doing just fine

I don't have any other suggestions... but you can become permanently lopsided if baby only eats from one breast!

My DD Kate is 7.5 years old. I had knee surgery when she was 8 months old. I went off my pain meds after 36 hours so I could get back to nursing. As you can imagine, it hurt A LOT to have her put any weight on my right leg... so I only nursed her on the left side, figuring that it would be a short term thing. Well, I didn't do a great job of keeping up w/ pumping on the right side, and by the time I was comfortable having her nurse on the right side, she didn't want to (I'm guessing that that side stopped producing much milk). At the time, I figured that the left side would go back to normal when we stopped nursing. It didn't. 7 years later, bfing my 2nd child, and the left one is still bigger (by at least a cup size)... and produces more milk! I have jokingly said that I will be using this child to try to even them out...
