I believe Kelly mom has a list of safe meds to take but I would say whatever you took while pregnant is safe during breastfeeding. I hope you both feel better soon!

You could take Benadryl, but you have to be careful, because it could dry up your milk, too. But, really, your best bet is to go for some natural remedies.

http://www.kellymom.com/health/meds/cold-remedy.html

I am still battling a little bit of a cold (have had it on and off for 2 months). I try to suffer through it during the day and have sometimes taken meds at night to help me sleep. Some days my supply ha had a little dip, but it's hard to know whether it is from the meds or just from being more run down.

I hope you feel better soon!

Gargle some breastmilk for a sore throat. That was the only thing I dared to take a month or so ago and it helped a lot. I tried it on DP recently and he said it helped more then the lozenge he had taken previously.
