My baby only drinks pumped breast milk....and I am on my way to a 90 min massage (so excited)! Should I throw a few of the next pumps away? I know lots of toxins are released in the body after a deep tissue massage and I am scared they will go into my breast milk. Hope this is not a stupid question.... Thanks guys!

hmmmm. I work with 4 massage therapists and never heard of that being an issue and I get massages all the time and never thought twice about breastfeeding. I would say if you are well hydrated before and after, you should be ok. I would also take an epson salt bath when you get home which can also help get the toxins out of you. I will ask one of the MTs (who has 3 bf children) when she comes out of her massage, and if the answer is different I will let you know.

I've never heard of not BFing or pumping after a massage. I've had massages done monthly since before I had DD and I never dumped any milk. Too much waste if you ask me

As a three time BF mama (fixing to be four times!) and a massage therapist, I agree with the staying hydrated and not worrying about it.
