I have not been sick in about 4-5 years. Well, I have a cold I think...and I don't know what to do. What can I take while breastfeeding? I got on the LLL webpage, but my head hurts too much and I can't find the answer. I was sure this was a faster way. What do you guys reccommend? Please help

Ohhhh I am sorry! My personal favorite is a home remedy...

Take 2 inches of ginger root, 2 lemons juiced & also the whole outer shell, 8-12 chamomile tea bags (you can use regular decaf tea as well if you don't like chamomile & use 8-12 depending on personal preference for taste - I like 12), boil it all for 20 mins - then add honey or sugar to taste. If you have a thermos you can fill the thermos with it. If you prefer it cold, pour it over ice...it is very soothing & helps boost the immune system.. This is also excellent for nausea, but also recommended for colds. I also personally recommend using saline spray in the nose no less than 4 times day, gargling with salt water and eating garlic crushed. You have to wait 5 mins after crushing it before injecting it & many say if you cover it in honey you wont' taste it - I dont' mind it & am allergic to honey - so I can't say. I will say those thing will kick a cold out of me in three days every time! I also took Sinupret when Jonah was older, but not sure if it's okay when your babe is so young. I recently was sick as well & opted to skip the Sinupret just to be safe as he was only about a month old at that time.
