I feel like the last few days my supply is down a bit. Chase isn't nursing like usual and when I pump, I'm not getting nearly what I was. I heading out to get some Fenugreek today.

Anyone have suggestions? What about oatmeal? Will that help?

BTW, Chase is 6 1/2 months. He has never had formula and I don't want to start now. He is eating solids but not many and not well. He takes a bottle of expressed milk when I'm at work. He's not even been taking the bottle the last couple of days.

could it possibly be AF? I know as your LO gets a bit older, they become more efficient with nursing and have super quick nursing sessions. I would increase your water intake and eat some old fashioned or steel cut oats. KUP!

I don't know if it's AF. I've not had a ppAF yet. It was around 7 months that I got AF back with my oldest, so it very well could be. I don't WANT af! (said in my ultra whiny voice)

that seems to be the most logical reason. A lot of stress and lack of sleep can impede your supply as well. I have not had a PP AF yet, so i know I dread it too!

It sounds like his appetite is down a bit too, and if he nursed less even for one day, your supply will go down a little bit because his demand changed. As long as he seems satisfied with that though, I would just go with it. It could be an illness, teething or like Meredith said, he's just getting more efficient and eating more at every feeding. To increase your supply for pumping, you can take fenugreek or a combination supplment like these from Motherlove:
Breastfeeding: Motherlove Herbal Company

Oatmeal works for a lot of women too, I personally like to make an oatmeal cookie because I don't really eat a lot of hot oatmeal. Check out the sticky for Monster Cookies, they are yuuuuummy!

I definitely want to boost my supply. My freezer stash is starting to go down as well.

I am going to check out that oatmeal cookie recipe
