I'm probably the last one to figure this out, but I have discovered that cardigans are the BEST nursing tops in the world. We went out for lunch today and I had a thin tee shirt under a cardigan that was zipped up about 1/2 of the way. I just lifted the tee to get to my breast, and the cardigan covered my tummy and back. It was SO easy!

The only problem is that my cardigan was cashmere, and when I put Claire on my shoulder to burp her, she spit up all over the sweater Perhaps I need to invest in some cotton...I think my cashmere days are behind me

I bought a boyfriend cardigan with a tie belt from Old Navy for EXACTLY this purpose! I'm so glad they're so 'in' this year!

Yes!! I did this exact thing last week and I was so much more comfortable NIP and not worrying about my stomach and back showing. I think I worry more about that than anything else.

I was thinking the same thing! I put a nursing tank underneath an unbuttoned cardigan that I can pull up around her head if I need a little extra coverage
