1. My daughter is 9.5 months old. I am planning on going out of town for 2 days next weekend. I will be pumping, but since I won't be nursing for more than 48 hours does that mean that AF could show? I would rather her just stay away and if there is a chance I'd like to be prepared.

2. Also, when I nurse on my right side my left breast hurts. It's almost like it's letting down but it's painful. And when she nurses on the left it hurts too. It feels like a clogged duct which Ive had before but ive never had pain when letting down or nursing on the other side. Any ideas?

1. every body is different and there is not way to know how your body will react to two days of pumping.

2. i would do some heat and compressions to relieve the blockage.

Chances are, even if it does you will have a few weeks before she shows. It shouldnt' be an instant thing, even if you stopped nursing cold turkey.

I would start treating it like a clogged duct. How long has it been hurting? With mine, I started with just a sore spot for a few days before I could even feel the lump. You might be able to catch it early enough that it doesn't get worse.

There's no way to know for sure, but pumping (any amount) does disqualify you from being able to count on breastfeeding infertility or LAM. You might start to notice some spotting and CM for awhile before AF shows. It is possible have your first ovulation before your first PPAF. With the pumping, the chance of ovulation is higher than if you were not to pump.
