Do you notice your baby nursing more intensely (or something) and causing more sore nipples as they get older?

I only nurse full time on the weekends (nurse evening, overnight, morning during the week since I work, I pump at work), and I've started noticing by Sunday night or Monday morning my nipples are so sore. I was wondering if my DD is just more aggressive at nursing as she's gotten older? I don't remember this happening a month or two ago and before. I use lanolin after pumping at work but I don't use it at home (mostly just because I dont wear nursing pads at home and I don't want it messing up my tanks and bras), but I guess I may start using it on the weekends some.

Are you maybe getting AF? That can cause sore nipples.

We went through a period where I felt like DD was trying to suck my nipples off. Turns out she was teething, once her molars came in she went back to a gentler latch.

AF was two weeks ago and I've noticed this the past couple weekends...

Could be teeth, we think she's working on a couple more (she currently has 6!)

I guess it also could be how often she pops off and on the boob now, saying hi to people or the pets or checking out what's going on in the world.

I was going to suggest teething as well. I notice Kolbie really goes to town when new teeth are coming in. She's working on her molars right now and I keep getting blisters because she also wants to comfort nurse all afternoon!
