I'm having a colonoscopy on Tuesday and will need to bottle feed DD. The prep starts Monday at 11:30 a.m. and I plan on pumping till the last minute because all the frozen milk I had went bad. I've only had about a week to pump and have 64 oz so far. I'm worried I won't have enough to hold her over.
She's nine months and eating solids. Her eating schedule goes like this: breastfeeds off and on throughout the night, breastfeeds right before waking up, breakfast, breastfeeds, lunch, breastfeeds, snack, breastfeeds, dinner breastfeeds, snack, breastfeeds. Most times that she's breastfeeding she's getting ready to take a nap so she's on my breast for a while and as of late she's been refusing her pacifier and only wants my breast.
How much is she supposed to be drinking at one sitting? I know every baby is different, but on average what are you supposed to feed them?

I would offer her 2-3 oz at a time. and i would use the slowest flow nipple so she does not guzzle it all down. good luck with your procedure.

Lily is almost 7 months old and taking 5 oz. I agree with the slow flow nipple! I only use those with Lily. Good luck and I hope it goes well!

I never gave my DD more than 3-4oz per bottle. I pumped from 3 months - 12 months at work.

Yeah my daughter was never more than 3-4 oz in a bottle too.

It's hard when they're transitioning to solid food because it can really depend how much they are eating! But I found that gave me more leeway when I went out... DH could give her solids while I was out and I wouldn't have to pump at all when before I would have had to. It's great that you have that much milk pumped already! You should both be fine.

I hope your procedure goes well!

My 10 month old son gets about 4oz of BM in each bottle when I am at work. I hope your procedure goes well!

Thank you, ladies!
We did do the 3-4 oz. I think the most she drank was five ounces but it took her a while to work it. Everything went well and best of all, I got a clean bill of health
