When you talk to your baby what do you call bfing?
When I was bfing Lyndsey I always would call it boobie time or say things like she needs a boob to my dh. Well I guess because I had late talkers before her I never realized that she would start using the word boob. One day when we were out in public she screamed "I want a boob." I was so embarrassed so I have deliberately found a new word for it with Shawn.
So I refer to it as nursie time or nursie, nursie or something like that. Shawnie has just started saying nursie too. He doesn't say nursie but he'll say "ner" or "nah". It's so cute.

Boobie or boobie time it was funny and cute when she was 3 months old, but at 2.5yo, hearing her yell "i want boobie time" is really obnoxious

I've always just called it "milk" or "time to eat". When we refer to it we almost always use the word "nurse" or "nursing".

I use "milk" most of the time. I'll ask him if he wants his milk.

When she was little I called it booby, but as she got over a year I started calling it Milkies (as opposed to milk in her sippy cup, which was just milk). She stopped before picking up the word though. But she knew what I meant when I said milkies vs. milk and would nod!

When I'm talking to Charlie about it, I usually just say "I'm feeding Beau." This is really the only way that I feed him (our nanny gives him bottles when she's with him, but I never do), so it's not like there's any confusion. When Charlie used to nurse himself, we called it "mommy milk." But Charlie also got "bottle milk" in addition to mommy milk, so there was a distinction there.
Talk about kids saying embarrassing things in public...the other day Charlie came up to me and handed me a half-finished bottle of Diet Coke that I had left sitting in the living room and said "Mommy, look, here's your breastmilk!" Now, granted, I do drink about four Diet Cokes a day, so for me it probably is the functional equivalent, but still! I'm not really that bad, am I?

Lyndsey was like this too. It didn't bother me so much most of the time but the time she yelled this out we were in the middle of the court house and it was just so embarrassing. If she would quietly tell me it didn't bother me but she was very demanding about booby time.

I call it num nums. Like "do you want some num nums?" or "are you ready for num nums now?". After hearing about all the toddlers yelling for boobie I am glad!

I always say boob or boobie. I have been worried about what will happen when he talks, but so far I am too lazy to change & I have very little filter. I have a feeling this won't be the first time it gets me into trouble.

We called it boobie more in the beginning, but eventually transitioned to using "nursies" more. This partly came from DH telling her it was time for "nursie night night" before bed, since that is what his sister (15 years younger than him) called it, and she nursed until age 3ish. She wasn't saying it before she weaned, but she understood what it meant.

I used to call it milk, but when DD1 started talking she called it "num". Now that's what we call it with DD2 too.
