Is it possible to breastfeed too much? It seems like second nature to have her latched on now... So it's done very often. Esp when she shows signs of fussiness.

pretty normal at that age to seem to nurse 24/7 and she is coming up on some growth spurts!

I have also read it is impossible to over-feed a breastfed baby. When they are not really hungry and are just on the breast for comfort they will just be getting foremilk which is not very creamy and doesn't have as much fat in it. My little one eats frequently as well, and has just grown well for the last couple months, not super fast or anything.

I hope not. Jk, I'm pretty sure they can't be overfed with breastmilk. That being said, DS was in >99th percentile in weight for the first 3 months and not so much in length. I'm really hoping at some point he will be at a more normal ratio!

My DD had colic and the only thing that calmed her was nursing... she was pretty much latched on 24/7 for the first 4 months.

Gabriel cluster-fed for hours on end until he was about 9 or 10 weeks old. I watched the entire LOTR series while he was nursing one day.

I feel this way too, that he's constantly on the boob My sister feels bad that whenever she calls me i'm always feeding him, not that i mind though.
So Natalya'sMommy (and sorry that i don't know your name, i probably should considering you're in my PR ) how often are you up at night to nurse?

I think my lo waking every 2-3 hours @ night to feed is a bit much @ 8 months is crazy...but I still nurse! He has already slept long stretches at night too but is back to his newborn days lol

I don't believe so! Like someone mentioned, your milk fat content changes depending how frequently they feed... so if they're feeding frequently they get lower fat milk. Your body is pretty much designed to give them exactly what they need.

Maddie likes to comfort nurse a lot, and I have noticed if she eats for a really long time she just spits some of it back up almost immediately. When she was still a newborn she nursed constantly. It was pretty tiring at first (and I got really sore!) but she eventually started slowing down.

I was happy to be getting 2hr stretches at night for a bit but now for these past 2 nights I'm up every hour again!!! The thing is that he doesn't eat much then falls asleep quick again...i was hoping he'd eat a bit more to stay asleep longer.

Madison eats like crazy all day, but I get a 4-5 hour stretch at night.

DS eats all the time. Every 2 hours during the day. 1 1/2 hours in the evening. I have also read that you can't over feed, baby will stop when full.
